Results

Cleveland State won the doubles point and all six singles matches to defeat Dayton, 7-0, on Saturday. UD fell to 3-6 and had its two match win streak snapped. The Vikings improved to 5-2 on the season.

Seniors Allysa Detroy and Megan Gray accounted for Dayton's lone win with an 8-6 victory at No. 1 doubles over Charlotte Gibbons and Jackie Tabb.

Detroy and freshman Laina Grote each lost 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 and 2 singles, respectively. Gray lost to Jenn Meyers 6-1, 6-0 at No. 3 singles, while freshman Chelsea Glankler lost 6-4, 6-1 at No. 4 singles. Sophomore Molly Mathews moved up to the No. 5 singles slot to replace the ill Nikki Dzubay. Mathews was downed by Gibbons 6-2, 6-1. Freshman Chelsea Gray saw her first singles action of the spring, but fell in the No. 6 slot, 6-0, 6-0.

The Flyers are off next weekend, but will look to get back in the win column on Saturday, Mar 1 against Saint Louis at Dayton Center Courts. Match time is 1:30 p.m. ET.
