The UD women's tennis team lost to Butler Friday afternoon, 5-2, in Indianapolis, IN. Dayton freshman Erin Wilkie recorded her first victory as a Flyer in the match. UD (0-7) also won the doubles point to begin the match.

Wilkie defeated Butler's Carrie Rachon 7-6(3), 6-0 at #6 singles for Dayton's lone singles win of the day. In doubles, Wilkie teamed up with junior Megan Gray at #3 to defeat Casperson/Rachon 8-6.

Senior Kate Mellion and junior Allysa Detroy also won in doubles. The duo downed McLoughlin/Hawes at #1 doubles, 8-4, to give the Flyers an early lead in the match.

The Flyers are back in action Saturday at Saint Louis to battle the Billikens.
