The Dayton women's tennis team opened its spring match play competition failing to take a set against the Louisville Cardinals in Louisville Friday. The Flyers fell 0-7 to the Cardinals.

Freshman Andrea Muresan was able to keep close in her match against Ariana Marshall at #5 singles before falling 4-6, 3-6. Sophomore Megan Gray, who led the Flyers in singles victories this fall, failed to record a game as she lost 0-6, 0-6 to Suzanna Gracanin at #4 singles.

The Cardinals also took the doubles point in convincing fashion behind an 8-0 win at #1 doubles from Maria Klokotzky and Robyn White over UD's Allysa Detroy and Kate Mellion.

The Flyers return home Saturday to host the Cleveland State Vikings at 11:00 AM.
