Player Profile

Position:
Interim Head Coach

Dawn Mamula, the athletics administrator responsible for the sport of tennis at UD, will serve as interim head coach the women's tennis team for the rest of the 2005 season. Before coming to UD in 2000 as an administrator, Mamula played and coached tennis at Otterbein College.

Mamula was two-time First Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference, and was a part of two OAC championships won by the Lady Cardinals. A 1998 graduate of Otterbein, she was an assistant coach at her alma mater until she came to Dayton.

"Mike Unger did a fine job with our team, and we appreciate how he has built the program into what it is. He brought student-athletes into the program who have performed well in the classroom as well as on the court," Mamula said.

"This will be an interesting transition from being the program administrator to the coach, but I'm looking forward to working with the team and finishing the season well," Mamula concluded.
