Dayton softball will host on the La Salle Explorers in an Atlantic 10 Conference doubleheader Friday at Noon. The Flyers bring a 14-15-1 overall record and a 3-5 A-10 mark into the game.

Dayton is coming off a pair of losses at Toledo Tuesday. UD fell in game one, 11-10 and were shutout in game two, 2-0.

Senior Shannon St. Clair has seven games this year in which she has had two hits. Against Toledo St. Clair went two for three with a double, homerun, three RBI and three runs scored. She is second on the team in both slugging percentage (.431) and on base percentage (.449).

Classmate Cassie Gross leads UD with five home runs this season and a .365 batting average. She is also second in school history with 12 career home runs, fourth with 30 doubles and 64 RBI

Sheena Rothwell went two for four against Toledo as she earned three RBI and had a single. She has two walks and has an on base percentage of .250 for the season.

Christine Eggers is batting .260 with a .333 slugging percentage. She leads UD in runs scored with 27 and has 32 total basses on the season. Eggers scored two runs against Toledo with two walks, a single and an RBI.

Melissa Myher pitched six innings in Dayton's 2-0 loss, while giving up only two runs both unearned, striking out seven and not allowing a walk. She has a 2.19 ERA and leads the team in innings pitched (118.1), Strikeouts (90), and complete games (14). Myher is 10-7 on the season and has started 18 games for the Flyers.

Dayton will take on the Saint. Joseph's Hawk in an Atlantic 10 doubleheader on Sunday with senior day festivities before the noon first pitch. The Flyer will travel to Philadelphia on Friday as they will play Temple at 2:00 p.m. in the first of two doubleheader match ups of the weekend. Sunday UD will take on Fordham in New York at noon.
