Dayton softball will travel to the Nation's Capital to take on the George Washington Colonials Saturday in an Atlantic 10 doubleheader beginning at noon. The Flyers are 13-12-1, and 2-4 in A-10 play.

UD is coming off a two-game sweep of Butler Wednesday as the Flyers have won six of their last eight games. Dayton moved into sole position of fourth place in the A-10 and is only one game behind George Washington in the conference standings.

Both Erin LaFayette and Melissa Myher threw complete game victories against Butler. LaFayette allowed only four hits while striking out four and walking four. Myher pitched game two and only gave up four hits with four strikeouts and two walks.

Senior Cassie Gross leads UD in hits with 32 and has five homeruns on the season. Gross has a .462 on base percentage. She is also batting .390 with a .67 slugging percentage.

Christine Eggers leads has scored 24 runs and has three triples on the season good for first place on the team and second in the A-10. She is also batting .286 with a .394 on base percentage.

Shannon St. Clair follows Eggers with a .282 batting average and holds a .435 on base percentage after a team-high 18 walks this season.
