All season long, freshman outfielder Mollie Schrank has kept a journal during the Flyers' road trips. Here's her entry from the Flyers' First Atlantic 10 road trip to take on the 49ers of Charlotte.

We left campus at 8 a.m. for Charlotte, NC. I think everyone felt at least a little car sick on the bus ride, or I guess maybe bus sick. A lot of mountains and curvy roads will do that to you. Beautiful scenery though! We watched a few movies and some Simple Life, and then ate lunch at Wendy's. We arrived at our hotel around 5:15, a Holiday Inn Express. It looked a little shady at first but the rooms turned out to be pretty nice. I rank them second best out of all our hotels so far. My roommates were Tami [Roudebush] and Muffin [Laura Matthews]. I think us three are suppose to be best friends; we've been together every time except one so far. I'm not complaining though, they're great roomies! We went to O'Charley's for dinner and then just came back to the hotel. Nobody did to much, just hung out, watched TV, and went to bed.

Happy April Fool's Day! No joke playing here however. I would like to mention first off though that our bus driver, Jerry, was awesome and I think everyone would agree. We ate at the continental breakfast, which was really good, then left at 9:15 for the games. We played Charlotte in a double header and lost both. They just out hit us. My aunt and uncle came though because they live down there. It was fun to get to see them and they brought me a caramel apple! Yum! Charlotte has a very pretty campus. We left right after the games to head back to Dayton. This bus ride wasn't as bad. More Simple Life though, which we had to bribe coach to let us watch. Yes, we know that is kind of sad, but apparently then team "loves it!" It really is pretty funny. We got home around 12:30 a.m. which really ended up being 1:30 a.m. with the time change. We made good time though. Home games this week. Go Dayton!
