FLYERS OPEN UP HOME SEASON AT UD SOFTBALL STADIUM ON TUESDAY

The University of Dayton softball team is set to open up the home portion of the season on Tuesday. The Flyers will face IUPUI in a twinbill beginning at 2 p.m. ET at UD Softball Stadium for the team's first home games of the year. Live stats are available for both games at www.DaytonFlyers.com. Dayton is now 3-11 overall, 0-2 in the Atlantic 10 and is looking to snap a four game losing streak. The Jaguars are 5-13 on the season, 0-5 on the road. UD opened up conference play over the weekend dropping two heartbreakers against Saint Louis. Blair Crabtree led the Flyers in offense. She went 2-for-3 against the Billikens in game two. So far this season she has collected three runs, three doubles, and five RBI's. Christine Eggers leads the Flyers in scoring with seven runs on the season. The junior from Dayton, Ohio has collected four RBI's and six walks in 14 games played. Dayton will begin an eight game homestand with IUPUI. The Flyers will face the Minutewomen and A-10 opponent Massachusetts on Friday, March 30 at 3 p.m. ET and Saturday, March 31 at 12 p.m. at UD Softball Stadium.
