DAYTON, OHIO - The UD softball team earned a split of a non-conference doubleheader Thursday against Morehead State with a 2-1 win in game two. Shalyn Adams was two-for-three with an RBI.

The Flyers are now (12-23 loss; 13-22 win) and remain 6-6 in the Atlantic 10. In game one, the Flyers fell 6-2.

The Eagles picked up a run in the third on a leadoff walk, a pair of groundouts to move the runner and a wild pitch.

In the Dayton third, Mollie Schrank singled to left field with two outs, and stole second. After Christine Eggers walked, Adams singled, to plate Schrank. Eggers, who had advanced to third on the single, scored on a wild pitch to Tami Roudebush.

Morehead State's Chrissy Timberlake made her first start of the year and suffered the 2-1 loss, allowing just three UD hits.

UD starter Chelsea Grozenski allowed one run, while scattering six hits, and striking out four to improve to 6-3 on the year.

The Flyers will meet St. Bonaventure Saturday at noon in an Atlantic 10 doubleheader at UD Softball Stadium.
