DAYTON SOCCER TEAMS TO HOST SUMMER DAY CAMPS

DAYTON, Ohio - Registration is now open for the 2008 Dayton Soccer Camps hosted by the University of Dayton men's and women's soccer teams. The field player and advanced select/goalkeeper camps will run June 23-27 and July 14-17. The camps are open to athletes ages 7-16 and will include personal instruction from Flyers head men's soccer coach Dennis Currier and UD head women's soccer coach Mike Tucker, along with student-athletes from the Flyer soccer teams. The field player camp utilizes the game's skills such as passing, receiving, dribbling, shooting, and heading. The camp will run from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. ET and ranges in cost from $150- $175. The advanced select/goalkeeper camp is specifically designed for upper level soccer players. Topics include imprinting styles of play, build-up, situational tactics, and advanced technical training. The camp will run from 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. ET and ranges in cost from $175- $200. The UD women's soccer staff will also host the Ohio South Youth Soccer Elite Player and Goalkeeper Residential Academy (ages 10-18) and a OSYSA Premier Goalkeeper Residential Academy (ages 14-18). The camps will run June 10 - 14 and July 18 -21, respectively and range in cost.
