LAUREN MacCORMICK NAMED OCSA ALL-OHIO ACADEMIC SECOND TEAM

DAYTON, Ohio - University of Dayton women's soccer player Lauren MacCormick was selected to the 2007 Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association All-Ohio Academic Second Team on Friday. The Flyer sophomore was among 22 other student-athletes from around the state of Ohio to be honored for excelling both academically and athletically during the 2007 season. MacCormick boasts a 3.41 GPA as a pre-med major and is also on the Dean's List and the Atlantic 10 Commissioner's Honor Roll. The Cincinnati, Ohio native was a major contributor to the Flyer squad in 2007, finishing the season with three goals and one assist. She started 12 of the 19 games she played in and had a game winning goal versus Pepperdine on Sept. 9. Her other two goals came during Atlantic 10 Conference play. The UD women's soccer team is in the midst of its spring schedule and is set to take on the Louisville Cardinals April 5 at 1 p.m. ET. The Flyers will close out the spring portion of their schedule with two games at Baujan Field. UD will face Toledo on April 6 at 2 p.m. ET and will clash with Ohio State April 11 at 7:30 p.m. ET. |
