DAYTON, Ohio - University of Dayton women's soccer sophomore Niki Reed was one of eight goalkeepers selected for the Olympic Development Program's Under 19 Interregional Tournament which runs from Feb. 9-12 at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles.

Only 72 players were selected to participate in the tournament, which divides players among four teams. Reed will join 17 other players on the Region II (Midwest) Team. The team is comprised of players from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio-North, Ohio-South, South Dakota and Wisconsin ODP programs. The Region II team will play a round-robin tournament against each of the other three regions.

Reed posted a 0.84 goals against average for the Flyers which was the best mark in the Atlantic 10 among keepers with 14 or more games. She recorded five shutouts and allowed just 17 goals in 20 games. Her save percentage of .825 ranked 30th in NCAA Division I last season.
