2007 OCSA All-Ohio Player Awards

DAYTON, Ohio - Senior Niki Reed and sophomores Mandi Bäck and Colleen Gibson garnered additional honors for their efforts during the 2007 women's soccer season on Friday. Reed, Bäck, and Gibson were among 11 Division I women's soccer players to be named Ohio Collegiate Soccer Association First Team All-Ohio.

Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the year, Niki Reed, recorded eight shutouts in 19 games in 2007. Her 14 career shutouts put her in third place on the all-time shutout list at UD. Reed finished the year with a 0.81 goals against average and a .843 save percentage. The Fairfield, Ohio native was a two-time A-10 Player of the Week selection during the season and was named to the A-10 All-Championship Team for collecting 17 saves in two games during the A-10 Championships.

Sophomore Mandi Bäck recently earned Soccer Buzz Magazine Regional Honors and was named to the NSCAA/adidas All-Great Lakes Regional Third team. She led the Flyers in scoring for the second straight year in 2007. The North Olmstead, Ohio native earned the Atlantic 10's Offensive Player of the Year leading the conference in shots, points, goals, and game-winners. She finished the season with a team-high 14 goals including five game-winners.

Colleen Gibson, an A-10 First Team All-Conference selection and NSCAA/adidas All-Great Lakes Third Team choice, finished the year with impressive stats in league play. She tallied 15 shots, one goal, and two assists in conference games alone. She finished the season second on team in shots on goal with 18.

The Flyers concluded the season with an overall record of 13-4-4 and 6-2-3 in the Atlantic 10.
