A heavily recruited prepster out of Hudson (OH) High School, Laura Boland has been one of the Flyers' anchors through the midfield. A possession-oriented player who is crafty with the ball at her feet, Boland has been able to create a number of offensive chances from the middle of the field. Her sister Mary plays soccer at Notre Dame.
Senior (2005)
Boland started 20 games for the Flyers during her senior campaign...tallied an assist on the season, coming when it mattered the most-in the Atlantic 10 Championships Quarterfinals against Saint Joseph's...took 17 shots on the season, with eight of them being placed on net.
Junior (2004)
Started every game in the midfield...scored one goal which came in a 3-1 win over Fordham late in the regular season...recorded 33 shots, with six coming in a 2-1 win over Oakland...was one of five players to start every game.
Sophomore (2003)
Atlantic 10 All-Championship Team...started 19 of 21 matches...scored one goal and three assists....first career goal was the game-winner in the A-10 semifinal against Xavier just 1:34 into the match...picked up the game-winning assist in the 1-0 win over Furman...also tallied assists in the regular season against Xavier and versus Temple.
