The Flyers placed 22nd out of 57 at the Head of the Charles regatta with an official time of 18:08.862 for the course. UD had only one boat enter the regatta for the Collegiate Women's Eight event.

The varsity 8 was made up of Seniors Kate Sanders , Raechelle Smith , Allie Bogenshutz , Emily Darin , Katie Butler , and Monica Lange . Filling it out are Juniors Nicki Bianco , Marcie Shockey , and Melissa Brandfass.

"The placing is lower than last year, but the field was much tougher this year with many more top tier schools entering the event," said Coach Mike Farrey. "Even so, we managed to finish closer to the winning boat than we did last year which gives us confidence that our boatspeed has increased."

The Flyers will be sending six varsity boats and three novice boats to Tennessee for their next event, The Head of the Tennessee.
