May 26, 2005 Seniors Anson Brennan and Katie Lesko were announced as Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association National Scholar Athletes for 2005 on Monday. The award recognizes student-athletes with a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher that competed in 75 percent of her team's 2005 spring races. Brennan (Fort Thomas, KY) earned the academic honors while majoring in exercise science. Lesko (Dayton) is a biology major. Both are candidates for the 2005 Academic All-American team. The Central Region produced 36 selections amongst 11 different schools including UD. The South and New England regions produced 28 selections apiece, while the West and Mid-Atlantic both had 25 selections.
