The University of Dayton was ranked 13th nationally in the first USRowing Women's Lightweight Eight Collegiate Coaches Poll of the year, released today.

The Lightweights have posted victories this year at the Atlantic 10 Conference Championship and the SIRA Championships, defeating 11th-ranked Central Florida in the latter. The Flyers were ranked as high as 15th by USRowing in 2004.

The Atlantic 10 placed two teams in the top-15 poll: Dayton and Massachusetts at #15. Fellow A-10 schools Duquesne and St. Joseph's were unranked but receiving votes. Princeton was #1, receiving six first-place votes.

The Flyers compete next at the ECAC Championships in Worcester, Massachusetts, May 7 and 8.
