Jim Catanzarite has been a volunteer assistant coach with the Flyers since the 2003-04 season. He works primarily with the Novice Women.

In his first year with UD, Catanzarite led the 1st Novice 8 to a second-place finish at the Head of the Tennessee Regatta, and saw the 2nd Novice 8 score a third-place and second place finish at the SIRA Regatta and Atlantic 10 Conference Championships, respectively. The Novice team collected a total of 57 medals total under his watch.

Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, Catanzarite graduated from UD with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering in 1999. In 2003, he received a Master's degree in the same field from Johns Hopkins University. He currently resides in Kettering and is employed as a principal engineer at General Dynamics in Dayton.
