In the 2007-2008 season, Carmichael rowed four seat in the junior varsity 8 at the 2008 Dad Vail Regatta that made it to semi-finals.

Personal
Carmichael is a junior pre-law student double majoring in Psychology and Criminal Justice. She has been rowing for three years at UD and her second on the varsity squad.

Kacy's novice A boat won second place at Head of the Elk and she won third place at John Carroll's Hammer Ergatta in high school. She played volleyball and rowed in high school.
