FLYERS COMPLETE FIRST DAY OF APSU INTERCOLLEGIATE

The University of Dayton men's and women's golf teams completed the first day of the two-day F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate in Clarksville, Tennessee. The men's team is currently in 11th place while the women are tied in 14th.

Senior Adam Myers is the only Flyer still under par shooting a 142 over two rounds at the par-72, 6,841-yard course. His score was good to tie him in 5th place for the day.

The women's team is lead by junior Melissa Gaus, sophomore Mary Kane, and freshman Danielle Hawksley who are tied in 55th place overall with single-round scores of 89 each at the par-71, 5,852-yard course.

Western Illinois University currently holds the first place spot in the men's tournament while Southern Illinois University is in first place for the women's tournament. Both teams compete in their final rounds tomorrow for the conclusion of the tournament.
