The Dayton Flyers continue the 2008 fall campaign at the Youngstown State Invitational on Sunday, Sept. 14 and Monday, Sept. 15.

The tournament moves to a different venue with this year's held at the Pine Lakes Golf Course in Hubbard, Ohio. The Flyers are coming off a second place finish at the Chicago State Invitational. UD has finished in either first or second in four of the last seven tournaments played.

At the CSU Invite, the Flyers had three individuals finish in the Top 10. Sophomore Julie Pouliquen shot a 77 and completed the tournament fourth overall. Not far behind was junior Katie Dempsey who shook off a slow start to fire a 79 and complete the invitational in sixth overall. Junior Paige Smith also finished in the Top 10 after carding an 82.

Last season at the Youngstown State Invitational Dayton finished in second as a team, but had the individual medalist in Pouliquen. Pouliquen won last year's tournament by three strokes.

For the Flyers to repeat last year's success, the team will once again have to play at a high level. Dempsey placed in eighth, while Casey Peterson finished tied for 11th.

This will be the third consecutive year the Flyers have participated in the Youngstown State Invitational.
