Q&A With Melissa Gaus
What line from a movie do you know verbatim?
I know basically all of "A Christmas Story" verbatim. I guess you get that when it has the 24 hour marathon.

What was your favorite present ever? Who from and why?
My parents gave my sister and me a basketball hoop for our driveway one Christmas, and in Indiana I feel like that is a necessity especially to help with my skills for Boys & Girls club basketball back in the day.

What is your favorite restaurant and why?
Either Panera or Chipotle because they are right on campus and I love the food.

What one word of advice would you give to an incoming freshman?
Have fun!

What do you think is the biggest issue facing mankind today?
I think the biggest issue is cancer, I know so many who have suffered from different kinds and it is sad to know that not yet do we have a cure.

What TV reruns do you love to watch?
Saved by the Bell is still a great show!

What quote do you know by heart?
Celebrate we will because life is short but sweet for certain - Dave Matthews Band

What piece of clothing has been the most useful to you in college?
A khaki jacket because this Ohio weather is crazy!

What surprised you the most about college?
How great the UD Ghetto is and how important it is to shaping the lifestyle and attitudes around campus.

What is your favorite food in the cafeteria?
KU cookies

What do you like to do most in your spare time?
Relax and simply hang out with my friends.

Work-out, study, and party time!

What was your best vacation growing up?
We went out to California and did a huge trip to San Francisco and Yosemite.

What was the best tournament you have played in at Dayton?
The Conference tournament last year we played at Pinehurst. The whole trip was amazing and the place is gorgeous on top of having decent scores.
