    KETTERING, Ohio - A career-best 75 from sophomore Clara Ang helped the University of Dayton Flyers finish in fourth at the 2009 UD Fall Invitational.

    Ang's finished the invitational in a tie for 13th among individuals.

    The leading scorer for the Flyers was senior Cari DeAngelis who tallied a 78 in the second round and completed the tournament in a tie for ninth overall.

    Dayton's A team improved from a 335 in day one to a 317 total in the second day. Senior Katie Gallagher fired a second round 80 and tied for 20th among individuals.

    Junior Julie Pouliquen carded an 84 in round two, while senior Paige Smith shot an 85 to round out the team scoring.

    Dayton's B squad also improved its overall team score going from a 345 on day one to a 333 in the final round. The B squad placed in ninth.

    Freshman Kelly Coakley improved by three strokes from day one shooting an 83 in the second round. Classmate Cheryl Ang shot an 82 in round two, bettering her score by six strokes from day one.

    Junior Megan Keating matched Ang for the squad-best score shooting an 82 in round two as well. Senior Katie Dempsey shot back-to-back tournament scores of 86, while sophomore Heather Jorgensen added an 86 as well.

    The University of Cincinnati won the tournament overall with team scores of 317 and 307 for a total of 624. Cincinnati's Kate Moore was the individual medalist after winning a one-hole playoff against Ohio University golfer Megan Weaver.

    Dayton will wrap up the 2009 fall season at the All-Ohio Invitational. The two-day event begins Sunday, Oct. 25 and will take place at the Ohio State University Scarlet Course in Columbus, Ohio.
