TOLEDO, Ohio - Freshman Michelle Borchers finished strong with a 79 in the final round of the Toledo Rocket Classic held at the Heather Downs Country Club in Toledo, Ohio. Her scores in the two-day tournament (88-86-79--253) were good to tie her in 57th place individually, the highest finish for the Flyers.

Borchers was closely trailed by Junior Melissa Gaus (86-89-80--255) who finished in 59th place overall.

The team was rounded out by sophomore Laura Grande (86-88-88--262) and freshmen Danielle Hawksley (87-88-92--267) and Malia Widder (96-100-97--293). The Flyers finished 14th overall at the 6,092-yard, par-72 course.

The tournament host University of Toledo finished in first place. Eastern Michigan University and Ferris State University rounded out the top three.

The Flyers are back in action next weekend in Waynesville, NC at the Wachovia Great Smokies Invite hosted by Western Carolina University.
