    The Dayton Flyers women's golf team completed the Chicago State Invitational in second place after second round play was cancelled due to rain.

    Dayton continued a recent trend of success. UD has finished in either first or second in four of the last seven tournaments played.

    Sophomore Julie Pouliquen shot a 77 and completed the tournament fourth overall. Not far behind was junior Katie Dempsey who shook off a slow start to fire a 79 and complete the invitational in sixth overall.

    Junior Paige Smith also finished in the Top 10 after carding an 82. Freshman Clara Ang made her UD debut and shot an 86, while junior Katie Gallagher recorded an 88 in her season opener.

    Among the individuals, sophomore Heather Grant shot an 87, while sophomore Megan Keating was one stroke behind with an 88.

    Dayton rolls on during the fall season and will play at the Youngstown State Invitational on Sept. 14 & 15. The YSU Invite will take place at the Salem Hills Golf Club in Salem Hills, Ohio.
