Second Round Results

HOT SPRINGS, Va. - Backed by six-stroke improvement from freshman Casey Peterson, the Dayton Flyers sliced 21 total strokes from Friday's first round score at the Colonial Athletic Association Championship.

Every Dayton golfer decreased their individual first round total on Saturday to help UD shoot a total of 339.

Peterson shot an 84 and completed the second round in 43rd. UD as a team still ranks in 10th after two rounds of play.

Another Flyer showing a strong improvement was freshman Katie Dempsey who led UD with a second round 79. She showed a an eight-stroke betterment from Friday's first round to end the day tied for 31st.

Senior Lindsey Greuter tallied an 88 in round two and has an overall score of 178. Classmate Melissa Gaus also decreased her Friday score after shooting an 88 as well.

Rounding out the Flyers was freshman Katie Gallagher who tallied an 89, a four-stroke improvement from Friday's opening round score.

UD will complete the three-day tournament on Sunday.
