FLYERS FINISH IN NINTH AT CAA CHAMPIONSHIP

    WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The Dayton Flyers completed the 2007-08 campaign with a ninth place finish at the 2008 Colonial Athletic Association Women's Golf Championship.

    Freshman Julie Pouliquen proved to be the top scorer for the Flyers finishing tied for 29th. She completed the tournament with rounds of 80, 78 and 82 for a total of 240.

    Sophomore Katie Gallagher wasn't far behind after shooting a third round 83. She completed the championship with a 241 total after tallying a 78 and 80 in the first two rounds.

    Freshman Katie Dempsey had the low score of the day for UD shooting a third round 81. She carded a first round of 85 and an 80 in round two to finish at 246 overall.

    After shooting an 83 in round one and an 86 in day two, senior Mary Kane completed the tournament with a third round 88. Sophomore Casey Peterson totaled rounds of 88, 90 and 91.

    As a team the Flyers shot a 326 in round one, a 324 in the second round and a 334 in round three.

    The CAA Championship concludes the 2007-08 season for Dayton. It's also the final collegiate event for Kane, the only senior on the squad.
