    PINE MOUNTAIN, Ga. - Junior Katie Dempsey and freshman Clara Ang each shot a 79 in round three to help the Dayton Flyers conclude the 2008-09 season with an eighth place finish at the Colonial Athletic Association Women's Golf Championship.

    Ang continued her consistent play throughout the tournament. She shot back-to-back 81's in the first two rounds before carding the 79. Ang had one birdie and nine pars in round three.

    Dempsey rebounded from a tough first two days to fire a 79 in the third round as well. She finished the tournament with a 258 total. In round three, Dempsey also tallied one birdie and nine pars.

    Sophomore Julie Pouliquen tied for 27th among individuals after shooting a third round score of 81. She completed the tournament with a 239 total after netting back-to-back scores of 79 in the first two rounds of play.

    Just one stroke back overall was junior Katie Gallagher who continued her strong performance with a third round 80. Gallagher had a 240 total and placed in a tie for 29th.

    Junior Paige Smith added an 88 in round three and finished in 44th among individuals. Smith had an 87 and an 82 in the first two rounds of the championship.

    As a team the Flyers shot a 332 in round one, a 317 in the second round and a 319 in round three.

    The CAA Championship concludes the 2008-09 season for UD. Dayton will begin next year's campaign in September and with zero seniors on the roster the Flyers should return every member of the team.
