    WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - Behind a second round 78 from freshman Julie Pouliquen the Dayton Flyers remained in eighth place at the 2008 Colonial Athletic Association Women's Golf Championship.

    Pouliquen, who shot an 80 in round one, is tied for 28th among individuals with a two-day total of 158.

    Tied with Pouliquen at 158 is sophomore Katie Gallagher. Following a 78 in round one yesterday, Gallagher countered with an 80 in day two of the tournament.

    Freshman Katie Dempsey improved upon her first round score rebounding from an 85 to shoot an 80 in round two. Dempsey has a 165 overall score and is tied for 38th among individuals.

    After shooting an 83 in round one, senior Mary Kane recorded an 86 in day two. Rounding out the scoring is sophomore Casey Peterson who added a 90 in round two.

    Overall the Flyers slightly improved their team score tallying a 324 in round two. With UD's first round team score of 326 in day one, Dayton is seven strokes back of seventh.

    The third and final round of the CAA Championship will take place Sunday, April 20 at the Golden Horseshoe in Williamsburg, Va. Fans will be able to follow the tournament with live scoring at Golfstat.com.
