PINEHURST, NC - The junior duo of Melissa Gaus and Lindsey Grueter led Dayton to an eighth place finish at the Colonial Athletic Association Women's Golf Championship that concluded Sunday at Pinehurst #6. Gaus placed 22nd while Grueter tied for 29 place individually.

Both Flyer juniors carded their best rounds of the three-day conference championship on Sunday. Gaus fired a 79 to finish with a combined score of 254 (85-90-79). Grueter had an 82 in the final round to finish with a 259 (92-85-82).

Sophomore Laura Grande continued her consistent play with a 91 to close out the weekend. She finished with a total score of 279 (96-92-91) to finish in 37th place.

Freshman Michelle Borchers and senior Melissa Juve each carded a 96 on Sunday to round out the Flyer competitors. Borchers tied for 40th place with a three-round total of 284 (94-94-96). Juve closed out her collegiate career with a 44th place finish after a 295 (109-90-96) overall score.
