WOMEN'S GOLF RETAINS EIGHTH SPOT AT CAA CHAMPIONSHIPS

PINEHURST, NC - After improving its score by 10 strokes as a team on Saturday, Dayton retained its spot in eighth place after two rounds at the Colonial Athletic Association Women's Golf Championship. The Flyers look for continued improvement on Sunday's final round at Pinehurst #6. Dayton has a combined total of 724 as a team which is two shots better than Hofstra in ninth place after two rounds of play. Lindsey Greuter had the best score of the day for the Flyers with a second round 85. She enters Sunday's final round in 34th place with a total of 177. Melissa Gaus is tied for 28th place and is two shots ahead of Greuter with a combined total of 175. Gaus carded a 90 on Saturday. Melissa Juve improved by 29 strokes from the first round to the second to card a 90 on Saturday. She finished the day in 44th place. The Flyer duo of Laura Grande and Michelle Borchers are tied for 38th place individually with a 188. Grande shot a 92 in the second round while Borchers had a 94. |
