After the second round of the UC/UD Women's Collegiate Invitational, the Flyers found themselves in fourth place out of eight teams competing. After a rainy start, the tournament concluded under sunny skies Tuesday at the Hueston Woods Golf Course.

Junior Melissa Gaus pulled ahead of her teammates in the second day of the tournament to tie for tenth place overall. She shot a 166 (85-81) over the course of two rounds on the 72-par, 6,233-yard course. She was followed closely by fellow junior Lindsey Greuter (84-83--167) who finished 13th overall.

Freshman Michelle Borchers (84-94--178) and sophomores Laura Grande (97-89--186) and Mary Kane (92-97--189) rounded out the Dayton team in the tournament hosted by both Dayton and the University of Cincinnati.

The Flyers compete next in the Colonial Athletic Association Championship. The three-day tournament begins April 14 in Pinehurst, North Carolina.
