DAYTON WOMEN'S GOLF FINDS THEMSELF IN A HOLE AFTER DAY ONE AT THE UC/UD INVITATIONAL

Carding a first round team total 358, the women are in sixth place after a rough day one of the two-day tournament held at Clovernook Country Club in Cincinnati. At 31 strokes behind the lead, it will take a tremendous effort tomorrow to catch up to the leaders. Senior Jen Edgin (Columbus, OH) is the leader for the Flyers shooting an 85 (+13) on the par 72 course. She is followed by junior Melissa Juve (Akron, OH) 90 (+18), sophomore Lindsey Greuter (Chardon, OH) 90(+18), senior Carolyn Fuchs (Louisville, KY) 91(+19), and junior Tiffany Ruhe (Ottawa, OH) 92 (+20). Cincinnati is in first place in the team tournament with a score of 323, followed by Northern Kentucky University 324, and Oakland University 331. The women will look to regain form as the UC/UD Invitational continues Tuesday with the final 18 rounds to be played at Yankee Trace Country Club in Centerville, OH.
