Round One Women's Results

OXFORD, Ohio - The Flyer duo of freshman Michelle Borchers and junior Lindsey Greuter each recorded first round scores of 84 to lead Dayton to a third place finish after the first day of the UC/UD Invitational on Monday. Dayton is co-hosting the tournament, which will conclude Tuesday, along with the University of Cincinnati at Hueston Woods Golf Course.

Borcher and Greuter performed well through cold, rainy and windy conditions with identical scores of 42 on the front and back nines. The duo enters Tuesday's final round just four shots back of second place.

Junior Melissa Gaus was just one shot behind her teammates with a first round 85 to tie for 14th place on Monday.

Sophomore Mary Kane tied for 25th place after carding a 92 while classmate Laura Grande fired a 97 to round out the Flyer competitors.
