DAUGHERTY AND RATERMAN EARN A-10 WEEKLY HONORS

DAYTON, Ohio - University of Dayton women's basketball players Kristin Daugherty and Justine Raterman both earned Atlantic 10 Weekly honors as announced by the league on Monday. Daugherty was named the A-10 Player of the Week, while Raterman earned Conference Rookie of the Week. Daugherty led UD to a 69-62 win over St. Mary's in the final game of the World Vision Classic on Monday, Nov. 17. The Flyer sophomore scored 14 points in a two minute stretch in the final minutes of the game to help the Flyers earn their first win of the season. Daugherty finished the game with a career-high 31 points on 9-of-9 shooting from the line and 2-of-3 shooting from three point range. She also grabbed seven rebounds and two assists and was named to the All-Tournament Team. The Fresno, Ohio native also scored in double figures on Friday in Dayton's win against Butler. In 34 minutes of action she tallied 15 points and grabbed seven boards to finish as the game's second-leading scorer. Freshman Justine Raterman earned the A-10's Rookie of the Week honor for the second consecutive week. Raterman's double-double of 18 points (8-of-12 FG, 2-of-3 3PT) and 11 rebounds helped Dayton to a win at Butler Friday evening, both of which were game highs. It was the Raterman's second double-double of the season. She also finished the game with a block and an assist. On Monday in the final game of the World Vision Classic, the Versailles, Ohio native tied for a game-high 12 rebounds, also finishing as UDs third-leading scorer with five points. Raterman collected three assists and one steal in the game. Dayton returns to action Tuesday evening at Navy. The Flyers will head to Annapolis, MD to face the Midshipmen at 5 p.m. ET.
