DAYTON WOMEN'S HOOPS TO HOST FANtastic FLYERS KICKOFF PARTY

DAYTON, Ohio - The University of Dayton women's basketball team will host a kickoff party, "Spirit Day" this Sunday, Nov. 8 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. at UD Arena. The UD women's hoops team paired up with the Montgomery County Board of Developmental Disabilities Services to start a fan club called FANtastic Flyers. During the kickoff party members of the Flyer women's basketball team will help fans make posters, pom poms and be available for an autograph session. The kickoff party is free and open for fans of all ages with developmental disabilities. Dayton women's hoops team will also host a free basketball clinic after one of their home games this season (to be announced at a later date). Dayton opens the regular season at UD Arena Friday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. ET against No. 10/10 Michigan State, who advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 last year. The Flyers then turn around and host No. 19/23 Louisville, who was the NCAA National runner-up in 2008-09, on Sunday, Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. ET. Fans who buy a ticket to the Michigan State game will get a free ticket to the Louisville game. Also fans who show their ticket stub from the men's basketball game against Creighton (played Saturday, Nov. 14) will get free admission. |
