VIENNA, Austria - The University of Dayton women's basketball team made the most of its first full day in Vienna Saturday as it took time to see some sights in downtown before winning for the third time in four games during its 10-day trip through Europe.

UD spent the morning shopping near the Hofburg House and Maria Theresa Plaza. The team took the time to blend the old with the new as they were able to shop in trendy European stores while also viewing Austrian government buildings dating back hundreds of years.

Then the team took a short drive to nearby Herzogenberg for its fourth of five games on its trek through Europe. Dayton led by just two at halftime before pulling away with strong guard play in the second 20 minutes to win 85-63 and improve to 3-1 on the trip.

The Flyers were led by sophomores Brittany Holterman with 20 points and Kiki Lund who finished with 19. Junior Jennifer Strong had her fourth straight game in double figures with 13 points while senior Lyndsey DeWitt added 11 of her own, all in the fourth quarter.

After the game, UD joined its opponent BBC Herzogenberg for dinner at an outdoor food festival and sampling many foods from around the world.

Dayton will spend its final full day in Vienna Sunday sightseeing before playing its last game against Union Ault BBC.
