EUROPEAN JOURNAL DAY 2: FLYERS TAKE ON PRAGUE
Aug. 7, 2005 PRAGUE, Czech Republic - The University of Dayton women's basketball team took on Prague in more ways than one on Sunday as the team toured the city before taking on USK Prague in an exhibition game. During the morning, the team was led on a tour of Prague Castle and the surrounding area. The Flyers had the opportunity to see one of the largest castles in the world while also walking down the hillside and over the famous Charles Bridge, which was lined with over 30 statues on their way to lunch. The team then headed off to an exhibition game in the evening against USK Prague, which was playing its final tuneup game before heading to Turkey to represent the Czech Republic in the World University Games. USK Pragues will face Team USA on Wednesday. UD lost in the exhibition 63-40, but was led offensively by 10 points from Jennifer Strong and nine points by Angela Cape.
