PHILADELPHIA -University of Dayton women's basketball was represented with two selections to the Atlantic 10 All-Conference teams on Wednesday in voting conducted by the coaches and media. Senior Cara Wright earned First Team honors while junior Jennifer Strong was a Second Team pick.

Wright, a 6-0 forward from West Chester, Ohio, garners First Team honors this season after a Second Team designation last year and a Preseason First Team award at the beginning of this season. She leads the Atlantic 10 Conference with 14 double doubles this season and enters the A-10 Championship as the only player in the conference to average a double double this year. Wright leads the A-10 and ranks 22nd nationally in rebounding at 10.1 per game. She also ranks third in the conference in scoring (15.7 ppg), third in blocks (1.6 bpg) and second in field goal percentage (.509).

The senior had one of the best ever all-around seasons with the 19th most points (423), 11th most rebounds (275) and third most blocks (44) in UD single-season history. Her 10.1 rebounds per game this season marks the first time for a Flyer to reach double figures since the 1983-84 campaign. She nears the end of her collegiate career ranked in the Top 25 in career scoring (764 points) at Dayton, 19th in career rebounding (514), sixth in career field goal percentage (.520) and fifth in career blocks (68).

Strong, a 6-0 forward from Warrensville, Ohio, earns her first All-Conference honor after ranking second on the Flyer roster and 18th in the A-10 in scoring this season at 12.0 ppg. She started all 27 games this year and leads UD with 70 consecutive starts in a row entering the A-10 Championship. Strong has scored in double figures during 19 of the last 23 games including a career-best 24 against Xavier on Jan. 19.

The junior already ranks 22nd all-time in scoring at UD with 796 career points. She also ranks seventh all-time in three-point shots made (90) and ninth in three-point shooting accuracy (.317). Strong hit 40 shots from beyond the arc this season alone, which ranks among the 10 best single-season totals in program annals. She also ranks fifth in UD history with 28.2 minutes per game.

Dayton enters the Atlantic 10 Championship as the sixth seed after a 16-11 overall record this season. The Flyers will face 11th-seeded Rhode Island on Friday at 6 p.m. ET at Alumni Memorial Fieldhouse on the campus of Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia.
