The University of Dayton women's basketball team begins a critical two-game Atlantic 10 Conference road trip with a visit to the "Bay State" Saturday to face Massachusetts. UD and UMass will tipoff at 2 p.m. ET in a game that can be followed with Gametracker at www.DaytonFlyers.com.

Both teams will be looking to shake off a loss in their last game. The Flyers were clipped at the buzzer by Richmond, 68-66 despite a solid offensive effort from the senior duo of Nikki Oakland and Brittany Holterman. Oakland tallied her third 20-point effort of the seasonby making 9-of-16 shots from the field while Holterman was 6-for-10 from the floor to tally 15 points.

Sophomore Kendel Ross scored nine points against the Spiders on Wednesday to lead a Flyer bench that has played a key role in the team's success this season. Dayton's reserves have combined to average 22.9 points and 17.3 rebounds per game this season. In contrast, opposing bench players have only averaged 11.1 ppg and 14.2 rpg.

UD enters the weekend tied along with Charlotte or fourth place in the Atlantic 10 with a conference record of 7-4. The Flyers and 49ers are two games shy of a three-way tie for first place between George Washington, Xavier and Temple. If the standings hold for the remainder of the season, Dayton would be the fifth seed in the A-10 Tournament due to a head-to-head tiebreaker with Charlotte.

Following Saturday's contest, the Flyers will return to Ohio and prepare for a rematch with Atlantic 10 rival Xavier on Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET. The Flyers beat the first-place Musketeers, 44-43 on Feb. 14 to snap a nine-game losing streak in the series.
