Newly-named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week Cara Wright leads the Flyers into action Sunday against No. 17 Temple. Wright averaged 24.5 PPG and 12 RPG with a .622 field goal percentage for the week. The Flyers and Owls meet in Philadelphia in a 2:00 p.m. tip-off from the Liacouras Center.

Wright recorded her 10th double-double of the season Friday at Duquesne and was two-points off her career high with a 27-point, 13-rebound performance against La Salle. She was 12-of-17 shooting from the field and was recognized for her efforts with her second Atlantic 10 Player of the Week award. She was also named A-10 Player of the Week January 12-19.

The Flyers (11-13 overall, 5-8 Atlantic 10) face a red-hot Temple Owls team that has won 18-straight and sit at 21-3 overall and 13-0 in the A-10. Temple is No. 17 in the Associated Press Top 25, and No. 19 in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches' poll.

UD's last win over a ranked opponent was November 28, 2001, when the Flyers scored a 56-53 win over No. 25 Maryland at UD Arena behind 16 points from Stefanie Miller. The Flyers are 0-2 vs ranked teams this season, falling at home to then No. 10 Ohio State and then No. 5 Notre Dame. Ohio State is No. 2 (AP, No. 3 Coaches) while the Irish are now ranked No. 5 (AP, No. 7 Coaches).

UD's last win over a ranked opponent was November 28, 2001, when the Flyers scored a 56-53 win over No. 25 Maryland at UD Arena behind 16 points from Stefanie Miller. The Flyers are 0-2 vs ranked teams this season.

Junior center Angela Cape was one rebound away from a double-double against La Salle, finishing with a career-high 16 points, nine rebounds, three assists and a steal against zero turnovers. Seven of her rebounds came on the offensive end.

Nikki Oakland, UD's freshman center, grabbed six rebounds, scored six points and had a career-high four assists in 19 minutes versus La Salle.

The Flyers out-scored La Salle 38-14 in the paint on Sunday for a 75-65 win. Dayton's three inside players -- Wright, Cape and Oakland, combined for 49 points on 22 of 36 shooting.

Junior guard Terri Ramsey set a new career-high in points with 15 against the Explorers. She had set her previous career high of 14 and also her high in rebounds with seven against Duquesne. Against Fordham, she tied her previous UD-highs in points (11) and assists (six) and also had four steals and four rebounds.

The Flyers came back from down 23 points at the half in the last meeting with Duquesne, out-scoring the Dukes 42-18 in the second half for a 55-54 win. Dayton forced 16 second-half turnovers, while committing just four themselves.

The Flyers are 10-1 when scoring 60 or more points, and have held 20 of 24 opponents to 68 points or less.

Both Cara Wright and Jennifer Strong posted double-doubles at George Washington. Strong finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds for her first of the season, while Wright added 17 points and 11 boards for her eighth double-double of the year.

Dayton's 10.0 game turnaround from last year's record (eight-games in the win column and 12-games in the loss column thus far) is the second-largest turnaround in the NCAA from last year, behind only Robert Morris.

The Flyers are 8-4 when Jennifer Strong scores eight or more points and 2-8 when she's held to seven points or less. Dayton is 8-2 when Emily Williams scores eight or more points, and 8-5 when Cara Wright hits nine points or more.

The Flyers have won all eight games in which they've had more free throws than their opponent, and are 3-13 when the opposition gets to the line more.
