The UD women's basketball team embarks on its final Atlantic 10 road trip of the regular season, beginning Friday at Duquesne. The Flyers and Dukes tip-off at 7:00 p.m. from the A.J. Palumbo Center with live stats available on DaytonFlyers.com. Cara Wright leads the Flyers into action having tallied double-doubles in three of the last four games.

The first meeting this season between Dayton (11-12; 5-7 Atlantic 10) and Duquesne (now 8-15; 3-9 A-10) was one of the more exciting games in Flyer history. Trailing 36-13 at halftime, Dayton came back from down 23 points, out-scoring the Dukes 42-18 in the second half for a 55-54 win. The Flyers opened the second half with a 6-0 run, and whittled the lead down by forcing 16 second-half turnovers, while committing just four themselves. UD still trailed by eight with 2:20 remaining, but closed the game on a 9-0 run, including Jennifer Strong's game-tying jumper and `and-one' free throw for the win.

Dayton's road trip will continue on Sunday in Philadelphia as the Flyers take on No. 17 (AP, No. 19 Coaches') Temple at noon.

GAME NOTES AT A GLANCE Junior Forward Cara Wright recorded her ninth double-double and was two-points off her career high with a 27-point, 13-rebound performance against La Salle. She was 12-of-17 shooting from the field.

Junior center Angela Cape was one rebound away from a double-double against La Salle, finishing with a career-high 16 points, nine rebounds, three assists and a steal against zero turnovers. Seven of her rebounds came on the offensive end.

Nikki Oakland, UD's freshman center, grabbed six rebounds, scored six points and had a career-high four assists in 19 minutes.

The Flyers out-scored La Salle 38-14 in the paint on Sunday for a 75-65 win. Dayton's three inside players -- Wright, Cape and Oakland, combined for 49 points on 22 of 36 shooting.

Junior guard Terri Ramsey set a new career-high in points with 15 against the Explorers. She had set her previous career high of 14 and also her high in rebounds with seven against Duquesne. Against Fordham, she tied her previous UD-highs in points (11) and assists (six) and also had four steals and four rebounds.

The Flyers came back from down 23 points at the half in the last meeting with Duquesne, out-scoring the Dukes 42-18 in the second half for a 55-54 win. Dayton forced 16 second-half turnovers, while committing just four themselves.

The Flyers are 10-1 when scoring 60 or more points, and have held 19 of 23 opponents to 68 points or less. Lyndsey DeWitt and Angela Cape led UD with seven points each against UMass. DeWitt entered the game with nine points in eight games, but responded to a season-high in minutes by shooting 3-of-6.

Both Cara Wright and Jennifer Strong posted double-doubles at George Washington. Strong finished with 16 points and 11 rebounds for her first of the season, while Wright added 17 points and 11 boards for her eighth double-double of the year.

Freshman guard Kiki Lund scored a career-high 10 points against George Washington to go with four rebounds and two assists.

Dayton's 10.5 game turnaround from last year's record (eight-games in the win column and 13-games in the loss column thus far) is the second-largest turnaround in the NCAA from last year, behind only Robert Morris.

Jennifer Strong scored a career-high 23 points at Xavier. She had tied her previous career-high with 21 points to lead the Flyers to a 63-50 win over Fordham. Strong also set her season high in rebounds with seven at Fordham.

The Flyers are 8-4 when Jennifer Strong scores eight or more points and 2-8 when she's held to seven points or less. Dayton is 8-2 when Emily Williams scores eight or more points, and 8-4 when Cara Wright hits nine points or more.

The Flyers have won all eight games in which they've had more free throws than their opponent, and are 3-12 when the opposition gets to the line more.
