DAYTON, Ohio - Senior Brittany Holterman scored a game-high 14 points on 7-of-10 shooting in Sunday's 65-46 win over local rival Wright State at UD Arena. The Flyers (9-2) extended the nation's third-longest active win streak to nine games and remained unbeaten at home this season. Dayton's bench outscored the Wright State reserves 32-5 en route to its 12th win over the Raiders in the last 13 tries.

Holterman also grabbed a team-high five rebounds and four assists. Senior Kiki Lund accompanied Holterman in double figures for Dayton with 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting from three-point range. Sierra Crayton led the Raiders with 13.

The Flyers buckled down on defense for the duration of the game. UD tied a season-high with nine blocks and held the Raiders to only 32-percent shooting. The sharp-shooting Flyers capitalized by connecting on 25-of-43 field goal tries (58-percent).

Dayton is now tied with the #7 Georgia Bulldogs for the third longest win streak in the country at nine games. They trail only top-ranked Tennessee (14, also in action Sunday) and Arkansas (11).

Lund provided an early spark off the bench for the Flyers. She knocked down her first three attempts from three-point range early in the first half to help Dayton to a 19-10 advantage nearing the 10:00 mark.

The Raiders snapped a 10-0 Dayton run with 8:50 remaining on a three-pointer from sophomore Kanisha Ward to trim the lead down to six.

Wright State crawled to within four before the Flyers answered with a 12-0 run over a 3:47 span. During the run, Dayton controlled the interior, scoring all twelve points in the paint including a pair of buckets from both sophomore Kelly Keil and senior Brittany Holterman.

Wright State freshman Shey Peddy buried a three-pointer that ended the Flyers' run with 1:06 remaining in the half. Dayton entered the locker room with a 33-19 lead at halftime.

The Flyers forced 12 first half turnovers while tallying six first half blocks. UD connected on 14-of-24 first half field goal attempts to outshoot the Raiders 58-percent to 29-percent. Lund led all scorers at the half with nine points.

To open the second half, UD picked up right where it left off. Holterman scored the half's first basket and followed with a dazzling assist to senior Ashley Armstrong who converted on a backdoor cut to the hoop.

The Raiders stayed close with a 9-0 run midway through the second half. The spurt cut Dayton's lead to 43-32.

However, the Flyers once again responded to the Raiders' run. A Kendel Ross three-pointer with 9:57 ended the run and marked UD's first field goal in more than five minutes. Dayton went on to stretch the lead to more than 20 points for most of the final 3:23, and would eventually wrap up its ninth victory this season.

UD is back in action on Tuesday, December 18 at home against Clemson at 7 p.m. ET in a game that can be followed with Gametracker as well as FREE live video and audio from www.DaytonFlyers.com.
