DAYTON HEAD COACH Jim Jabir
On the play of Brittany Holterman

"She played hard and she was opportunistic. She took the shots that they gave her and she went to the basket hard tonight. She has improved probably more than anyone else on our team. She is shooting it better and is attacking the basket better."

What does this win mean for UD at this point in the season?

"Any win is a good win. Wright State is a really great team. They showed a lot of fight, a lot of character. They never quit. It is always good when you beat your rival. I am proud of our kids. They never quit. To beat them tonight was big."

Describe the change in the team from last week to tonight.

"We tried to be factual with the team and focus on the things we need to fix and the things we need to get better at. Our turnovers are getting better as we are learning, but we need to improve upon that part of our game. We want to be champions and we understand that this is a long, hard road."

DAYTON SOPHOMORE Brittany Holterman

"I just try to get better everyday and every practice and every game. There were a lot of mismatches out there tonight, which is what I am there for because I am a guard/post. I got to play a lot tonight because of that and I saw some openings. Our coaches always tell us not to pass up a shot, not to pass up a drive - so I took control."

WRIGHT STATE HEAD COACH BRIDGETT WILLIAMS

"The story of the game tonight was at the free throw line. We were just 12-of-20 and they were 15-of-16. That's the game right there."

On the play of Rhea Mays

"We are focusing in this non-conference season on being a team that comes together on the offensive end of the court. Rhea has taken it upon her shoulders to be a leader for us and make sure that the right shots are taken."

On the play of Dayton's Brittany Holterman

"She causes post up problems for our guards. We knew that if they caught on to the fact that our guards couldn't defend her, then she would definitely step up and that's exactly what happened."
