Box Score
Dayton Head Coach Jim Jabir
"I was disappointed in the way we played overall. We had two or three kids who were not feeling very well. We were somewhat lackluster and that is something that our coaching staff was concerned about being flat heading into this game. Thank God for Kathy Guin and her shot."
On Winning A Come-From-Behind Game
"It has never been a question of their heart or their desire. We have great kids in our program. It's a matter of learning how to win. We have a lot of confidence in ourselves. They stayed in the game. I was very proud of them. They were tough kids."
On Dayton's Free Throw Shooting
"In the past two or three games we have not shot the ball well from the free throw line. Ashley Armstrong was 7-for-10, which was a big part of that. Ashley had a good game for us today. We need to shoot better from the field and execute a little better. I am very proud of our kids because they found a way to win."
On The Three-Point Shooting of Jennifer Strong
"They were timely. I think that Jennifer is a very important part of our offense and she has improved so much over the past four years. It is great to watch her play now. She understands the game so much better. She has so much more composure. I like watching her play...especially in the second half today."
On The Team Heading Into Thursday's Game at UT-Martin
"Hopefully we will get healthy and learn a lot from this experience. To come on the road and show up today was important in building confidence. As we head to Tennessee-Martin, I hope that we are more prepared because of this experience. Hopefully, by the time we get to conference play we are a better basketball team than we are today."
