DAYTON CRUSHES LOYOLA-CHICAGO 82-54 ON SATURDAY

CHICAGO - Nikki Oakland's 16 points led Dayton in an 82-54 victory over Loyola-Chicago in a non-conference game played at Joseph J. Gentile Center on Saturday night. UD moves to 2-2 overall with its second straight victory. Sophomore Kendel Ross also scored in double-figures for UD with a season-high 13 points and five rebounds. Classmate Kelly Keil added eight point and grabbed a career-high 10 rebounds to go along with three blocks and one assist in just 15 minutes of action. Ashley Brown and Ashley Armstrong scored seven points apiece for the Flyers. Brown was 2-for-4 from the field while Armstrong connected on both of her attempts from long range on the evening. Jen Tisza and Aundrea Lindsey also came off the bench to score even points each for UD which shot 43.5 percent (30-for-69) from the field and made 6-of-21 (.286) shots from three-point range. The Flyers saw 11 different players score as UD led by as much as 35 points in the game. UD out rebounded the Ramblers 55-31 and held a 44-4 advantage in bench points. Elyse VanBogaert paced Loyola with 17 points and eight rebounds, while Maggie McCloskey and Keisha Collins both scored in double-digits with 14 and 11 points respectively. The Flyers will remain on the road as the team visits Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Monday, Nov. 19.
