DAYTON HEAD COACH Jim Jabir
"We are not consistent with our defensive intensity. We got killed on the boards again. It is misleading. You can play great defense and force a bad shot, but if you give up a rebound and a put back they are shooting 50 percent. If you rebound that your percentage is much lower and you are controlling the game. Early on we gave up bad shot and then rebounded that and turned it into layups. We were not able to sustain that tonight."

"We have been telling them all week that they are very aggressive on the boards and we need to put a body on people and push back. That is exactly what beat us in the last five minutes tonight."

"To lose at the buzzer off an offensive rebound is demoralizing. Hopefully we have learned a valuable lesson and we can fix it and play well at UMass."

"I expect that our team is going to work very hard and go to UMass and give it our best effort."

SENIOR Nikki Oakland
"We were defending. With everything that they were trying to do we were there. We had great help side at one point, but all of that slipped away from us. In the beginning we were playing five on one and I think that we rattled them. Once we started going away from that was when things going downhill."

"I just saw the score and I know that I had to do something to help my team get back on track. I just tried to go up as hard as I could."

"I was hoping that would spark us to get that one stop or couple of stops at the very end. What it came down to was boxing out. We need to do that better."

"We just need to put a body on them and push back. We are there, but we are not pushing back. People are just throwing us around."

"This team has a lot of heart. Everybody on this team is upset that we lost. I have no doubt that Friday when we come to practice we are going to bounce right back. We are going to play UMass and put it all on the line. Especially the seniors because we don't have too much left. Go out there play a hard as we can and continue to get these `Ws'."
