DAYTON HEAD COACH Jim Jabir
"I'm proud of our resilience. The officiating was really tough today and I thought they took way to many foul shots but I'm really proud of our kids. This was a huge win and a good basketball team we just beat."
How do you keep it going?
"We are growing up and the kids never stopped playing hard. Today was tough, I mean yesterday we went through walk through, and I don't think they remember anything we talked about because they were so tired but they grinded it out and I'm very proud of them."
What were some of things you did well early?
"We were able to use the high ball screen pretty well. We got into the lane and score when we needed to."
What was planned for the final shot?
"Again, we wanted to come off the high ball screen for Kiki Luid, and then if we didn't have it we were spotting Kathy Guin for three and she has done that a couple of times now."
Talk about you using your two point guards together?
"They were huge. Maybe I'm getting smarter and we starting to use them both little more."
What are you going to do down the stretch here to get a good seed in the A-10 tournament?
"I know UMass is coming in and that's going to be a battle again. We need to prepare, get better, and get ready in the week we have to prepare because they bring a whole new set of challenges. But I'm excited and ready for it."
