Recap |  Box Score

UD HEAD COACH Jim Jabir

"We are a team that is learning how to run offense still as well as time and tempo and space. Young kids stepped up. Karah Cloxton had a really big game and Cara Wright again was dominant inside. I like out heart and how we came back. I thought that was really important."

On the learning process of the young team

"I think it is a culture we have tried to create. I think it is also because they do have character. They do want to win and they do want to work together to make those things happen."

On Fordham's three-point shooting in the first half

"I think we did a better job of closing down on their three point shooters in the second half. They didn't get as many clean looks. We didn't negotiate the screens as well as I would have liked in the first half."

On Dayton's free throw shooting in the second half

"It's almost getting to the point now where when we get fouled in the second half, when it counts, I know its going in. I can't tell you why, but I just have this sense that we are really clutch. When we really need it, it is there."

On the play of Cara Wright

"Cara is a warrior. She is a back to the basket kinda kid right now, but no one can stop her. She works so hard. I love her heart. I love the fact that she plays like a champion and she wants to win. She will do whatever it takes to make that happen."

On the play of Jennifer Strong

"We need a second and third scorer. We need to someone else to contribute like we did today. Jennifer was off offensively in the first half, but she did board. We need multiple people rebounding and scoring."

"I thought Amber Peterink played a real good game too and helped us out defensively. When we play as a team and we had balance, we are a tough team to beat."

"I think our balanced play kept Fordham off track. We need to rely on more than just one player."
