"We thought they were struggling on the boards and we wanted to make sure we hit those pretty hard. I thought we did a decent job, especially in the second half."

"I thought both of those kids (Kendel Ross and Nikki Oakland) did a great job. I thought coach (Bernard) Scott did a great job setting up a game plan to defend her. It was a team effort. We wanted to make sure she didn't get up on us. She had to work really hard to get shots. She's a rhythm kind of kid and we made her work hard."

"I think balance is something we've stressed forever. I think you have to have it. Jennifer (Strong) wasn't on tonight, but she contributed defensively. We had other people step up. It makes it harder to defend her when other people contribute."

"I thought Karah (Cloxton) played well. She picked her spots. She did a nice job of running the team offense. I was very pleased with her effort today."

"I think two things have to get better. Our defense intensity has to be there from the get go. I was not pleased with the way we started. We have to work on that. The other thing is we have to work on our offensive rebounding and execution. I think we're working in getting better at those things. We're moving the ball better and seeing improvements in those areas."
